Working with Stantec’s K12 design team, we developed interior & exterior wall graphics for Landrum Middle School. The designs align with the team’s concept of the intersection of nature and geometry.
Interior graphics combine abstracted nature imagery with repeating geometric patterns to create visuals with depth that stand up to multiple viewings. Applying inspirational quotes selected by the students on top of the graphic further extends how people relate to and engage with the graphics.
The school’s mascot, the lion, features prominently in mosaic graphics created for two outdoor courtyards. Both lions are abstracted into geometric facets which feels powerful and impactful when viewed from a distance. Closer viewing reveals the school’s core tenets integrated into the design: collaboration, discovery, achievement, and more.
